Fun In The Son: St Simons

FITS: St Simons will be held at Epworth By The Sea. This gorgeous riverfront campus on St. Simons Island, GA has lots to offer from bunkhouse and hotel style accommodations, to plenty of recreation including swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts and rec field for so much more! With the beach only minutes away, at Epworth By The Sea you will experience the Fun in the Son camp you know and love so well with an even greater opportunity for community and fellowship between campers, leaders and churches.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Camp begins Sunday afternoon with registration and is over Thursday night after the final programming. Check out is Friday morning.  All groups will be housed on Epworth's campus in either the bunkhouses or hotels. You will not know how many students will be in a room until you arrive at camp.  Please know we do try to maximize room space in order to keep trip costs low for your students.

HOUSING

All students and leaders will be housed together. Depending on the number of students, smaller churches may room together. There are two types of housing you can choose from when registering. Both housing options are on a first come, first serve basis.

​

BUNKHOUSES: These are dormitory style bunkhouses with bunkbeds, leaders room and attached multi-person bathrooms. Depending on numbers, some smaller churches may share bunkhouses. The bunkhouses do NOT include towels or linens.

​

HOTEL ROOMS: Epworth has multiple hotels with hotel style rooms. These rooms can house 2-6 individuals and include both towels and linens.

FOOD

Your registration price includes all meals, beginning with dinner on June 22 and ending with breakfast on June 27.

DAILY SCHEDULE

* Actual camp schedules are tentative and details may vary.

​

  • Mornings include time for quiet times, the morning session and seminars.

  • After lunch, you will have free-time to relax and enjoy the beach.  A variety of recreation activities and tournaments will be organized for each afternoon.

  • The evening schedule will include dinner, a counselor meeting, the evening session and family-time (with your church family).

THINGS TO BRING

In addition to cool, casual clothes, there are a few specific things you’ll want to have with you.

  • Linens and towels for bathing (bunkhouses ONLY)

  • Beach gear: beach towel, sandals, modest swimsuits, sunscreen, frisbees, etc.

  • Bible, pen, and notebook.

  • Sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt for the big group meetings as the meeting rooms are usually cold!

  • Come prepared for afternoon recreation with tennis shoes, tennis rackets and balls, footballs, etc.

  • Please make sure your group has one sleeping bag for every fifth person in the group.

  • Spending money for snacks and Fun In The Son merchandise available to purchase.

  • Deposits for all conferences are $100 per space.

  • Early bird discount is 5% of total cost per camper. Ends March 1

  • If drops are made before April 1, 2025, the $100 deposit per space is transferred to your balance due.

  • If drops are made after April 1, 2025, the deposit per space is forfeited.

  • The final date to add/remove spaces is June 2, 2025. After this date you are responsible for total cost of reserved spaces.

  • Final balance is due June 2, 2025.
