The Great Escape: Southwind 2
Southwind is located along beautiful Long Lake at the edge of the 420,000 acre Ocala National Forest. In addition to its beauty, Southwind has plenty to offer. Our activities include a water recreation area, paddle boards, canoes, high ropes, beach volleyball, basketball, disc golf and much more. Our passion is the Gospel and our desire is to partner with you to make your time here meaningful and memorable with great teaching, outstanding worship, small group and family time where you can dig deeper with your group.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
TGE Southwind 2 begins after 4:30 Sunday afternoon with registration and is over late Wednesday night following the final evening program. Check-out is Thursday morning. Housing is provided Wednesday night, however, no breakfast will be served Thursday morning and you should plan to depart by 8:00 AM.

HOUSING
All students and counselors will be in one of Southwind’s air-conditioned dormitories or cabins (for more information go to http://southwind.younglife.org). Because housing depends on the camps final numbers (which are not final until days before camp starts), we will not know your specific rooming arrangements until you arrive at The Great Escape.

FOOD
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all provided as part of your conference cost. We will feed you beginning with dinner on Sunday night and your last meal will be dinner on Wednesday.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Mornings include breakfast, quiet times and recreation.

Afternoons include lunch, recreation, free time, small groups and an afternoon session!

Evenings include dinner, evening sessions, counselor meetings, and aftermaths.

RANDOM DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW

There should be one adult for every six youths you bring (1:6). There should be male counselors for male campers and female counselors for female campers.

Each student coming to TGE Southwind 2 will need to complete a 2023 YCM Medical & Media Release form.

Leaders, please bring two copies of each medical form with you – one for you to hang onto & one to turn in to our staff when you register.

Every student needs to fill out the YL Guest Consent Release Form and have their parent sign if under 18. PLEASE NOTE: This form is online only.

Deposits for all conferences are $100 per space.

Early bird discount is 5% of total cost per camper. Ends March 1

If drops are made before April 1, 2023, the $100 deposit per space is transferred to your balance due.

If drops are made after April 1, 2023, the deposit per space is forfeited.

The final date to add/remove spaces is June 1, 2023. After this date you are responsible for total cost of reserved spaces.
