Winter Weekend Retreat
Polar Plunge at Green Lake is located at Green Lake Conference Center. Between the snow covered trees and beautiful lake, this Polar Plunge at Green Lake is a true winter weekend getaway. Polar Plunge is an exciting twist on the YCM summer camp experience that is so well known and loved. This is our newest camp offering for both middle and high school students, a winter weekend retreat to getaway and dive into the Word, worship, teaching and being together as a group. Be ready for incredible teaching, amazing recreation, bonfires, indoor (or outdoor) snowball fights and of course a real Polar Plunge! It’s a mini summer camp in the middle of winter!

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Polar Thang begins Friday evening, with arrivals starting after 7pm. Departure is on Monday morning.

HOUSING
All students and leaders will be housed in dorm style bunkhouses. Each room has one single bed and one set of bunk beds. Each bunkhouse has it's own gathering space and common area. You will need to bring your own bedding and towels.

FOOD
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. All meals will be held in the dining hall. Dinner Friday night is NOT included so please eat dinner before you arrive at camp.

DAILY SCHEDULE
* Actual camp schedules are tentative and details may vary.

Mornings include quiet time, leader coffee time, a brief message with worship, and various camp activities.

Afternoons include, tournaments, polar plunge, and camp activities.

Evenings include games, leader meeting & prayer time, big message and worship, Family Time, and “Aftermath” (night rec).

DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW

There should be one adult for every six youths you bring (1:6). There should be male counselors for male campers and female counselors for female campers.

Leaders/counselors must be at least 18 years old.

Each student coming to Polar Plunge will need to complete the YCM Medical & Media Release waivers.

Every leader coming to Polar Plunge will need to complete the YCM Sexual Misconduct Policy and YCM Medical Release waivers.

Deposits are refundable until October 1, 2026.

The final date to add/remove spaces is December 1, 2026. After this date you are responsible for total cost of reserved spaces.
