At The Great Escape Lee it is our deep desire that you experience with us the joy of seeing young people commit and recommit their lives to Jesus Christ.  It is our hope to do this as a family and YOU are an integral part of that family. The Lee University campus has everything we need for a great week together - rolling green lawns, state-of-the-art meeting space, a great student center with a food court, and air-conditioned dorms. But even more important than the facilities, recreation, and programming is the time The Great Escape allows you to spend with your students. You do not have to worry about logistics and details – we take care of all of that for you. It is truly our hope and prayer that this conference will be an opportunity for God to impact the lives of hundreds of junior highers!

Arrival and Departure

Southwind is a beautiful property owned and operated by Young Life. Southwind’s strength is found in its focus on one concept per day and the “camp” atmosphere, which helps create an immediate sense of belonging and community. You and your students will enjoy wild recreation, an afternoon of snorkeling, late night “aftermath” activities, swimming, basketball, ping-pong, a high ropes course, bed time talks, fantastic speakers, creative skits, cool music, strong small groups, and much more! All of this will enable leaders to connect with students and guide them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

We’ll be up front with you - The Great Escape Midwest is cooler than Bob Barker, better than being on every Top 8 on myspace.com, and more bad bottom than three feet of fresh powder in Lake Tahoe.  In short, it’ll blow your mind.  If you want a place to really get to know your middle school kids there’s no better place than at The Great Escape Midwest!! Everything at our camp is built for the youth leader who wants as much time with his or her kids as possible.  WE DO IT ALL FOR YOU…and the great thing is, WE’RE YOUTH LEADERS JUST LIKE YOU!!  That means that we know where you are, what you need, and the language that you and your kids speak.

In everything we do, our aim is to provide an experience that both pushes your students spiritually while also showing them that being a Christian can be a whole lot of fun!
